FTS Heating & Cooling is proud to support the communities we serve by investing in people, education, and local partnerships.
As a family-owned company built on long-term trust, we believe community involvement is part of doing business the right way. Our team lives and works in the same areas as our customers, and we care deeply about helping our neighbors thrive. That includes creating opportunities for students who are interested in building a stable, skilled career after graduation.
FTS Heating & Cooling is also a Community Partner of the Discovery Center of Springfield, and we welcome opportunities to participate in local events and initiatives that strengthen the communities we serve.
Supporting Local Students Through Jays Work
FTS Heating & Cooling participates in Jays Work, Marshfield High School’s work-based learning program that connects students with real-world job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships. Jays Work blends school-based instruction with hands-on experience, giving motivated juniors and seniors a chance to explore career paths, develop workplace skills, and build professional connections while still in school.
Through this partnership, we welcome students who are eager to learn the HVAC trade and grow into confident professionals. Interns gain meaningful exposure to our day-to-day work, learn what it takes to deliver reliable service, and receive guidance from experienced team members who take mentorship seriously. We collaborate with the Jays Work Coordinator and the student to support a structured experience that helps the student build practical competencies over time.

Supporting Career Pathways in the Trades
Recently, our team celebrated an important milestone with one of our interns in the program, Ethan Theobald, who committed to continuing his career in HVAC with FTS Heating & Cooling. The career event brought together family members, mentors, and our team to recognize the hard work, dedication, and progress he has made through hands-on training.
As part of this commitment, Ethan is enrolled in our in-house United States Department of Labor HVAC Certificate program. This structured training supports long-term skill development while preparing students for real-world expectations in the field.
