Tasks Included in HVAC Maintenance
When FTS Heating & Cooling comes over for your appointment, we’ll go through our checklist and make sure we assess every part of your system. The little jobs we do will have a big effect on how your equipment continues to operate. One such task involves cleaning all components so that they work well. Another is calibrating the thermostat. This small device is the brain of your system, telling it when to start up, shut down, etc. As such, it needs proper calibration in order to do its job. Any problems with your thermostat can then cause performance issues for your AC and heater. Our HVAC technicians will properly calibrate your thermostat during your tune-up.
For your air conditioner, we can check the refrigerant level. This substance is a crucial part of the process that cools the air in your home. A low coolant level can hamper this process; it could also contribute to your AC emitting warm air. during your HVAC maintenance visit in Ozark, we’ll also check and make sure we don’t see any signs of refrigerant leakage.
For your heater, we’ll test for the presence of carbon monoxide leaks that could occur as a result of improper combustion. We can also do things like check flue venting and inspect the heat exchanger.
As you run your furnace and AC, they will naturally accrue wear and tear. Some of this might cause parts to become loose or fall off entirely. You might then notice this as a rattling sound when your HVAC runs. During your heating and cooling maintenance job, we’ll look for any components that need tightening, lubricating, or replacing.
